a note for you :
May we all be the author to our birth stories, illustrating beauty within every moment.
I am a huge advocate for self-care = showing up for yourself in this beautiful journey called motherhood! Once upon a time, I was doing exactly what you're doing now... digging deep, seeking answers, hoping for someone outside of my little circle to show me the way. I remember the feeling and the shift from my adolescence mind to maternal instinct and that memory brings me to gentle stillness with only the sound of a heartbeat. For starters... you're doing great! I know it's a motto but it means something when you're a mom. You are capable of miracles, you're one step closer to feeling prepared in this new space and guess what? You deserve to experience empowered birth at it's core. Let's do this together...
Some sweet things about my earliest chapters...
Our memories are truly the moments we collect throughout a lifetime that impact the story we write about ourselves. These moments shape our beliefs, the way we connect with others, how we learn, process & grow. These moments have the ability to harness intuition, limit fear, exude confidence... while at the same time be a host for triggers, trauma & guilt. What's beautiful in this truth, is that even when our experiences impact us poorly, our bodies are miraculously intertwined with the perfect mechanisms to re-wire and create new chapters along the way.
I read a sweet love note written by my own mother dated 2-13-2019.
She scribes = "To be honest I knew when Amanda was born, she would be my only. What I didn't know at the time is that I was being selfish".
She shares about how tough it is to make the "right" decision, and how to know what's best! I hold space for her experience as a mother, and it brings me joy & delight knowing that even in her uncertainty, she led motherhood by her own intuition... doing what she believed was the absolute best and right response for her, first. Because that's where motherhood begins, it starts with self.
self-awareness
self-love
self-motivation
self-advocacy
These truths and the action behind each, has offered my life abundance. This place is where I have the opportunity to share it with others and welcome you the the Motherhood Wellness Journey.
